Presentation

Fort Ganteaume (lower part of Fort Saint-Nicolas), classified as a historical monument since 1969, became again in 2022 a support for ACTA VISTA’s integration and vocational training workcamps. Property of the French Army, this monument is now occupied by the Mess Circle of the Marseille-Aubagne Defense Base.

Various restoration actions are carried out on the West and South ramparts:

  • Restoration of the ramparts: facades; parapets, fire hydrants and bays,
  • Reinforcement of the rocky base of the ramparts;
  • Restitution and stone cutting, mortar work and lime coatings.
  • Restitution of the gargoyles in stone of Cassis;
